Lich Van Nien - VN is a Chrome Extension that provides a Vietnamese lunar calendar, personal event notes, reminders, and optional Google Calendar and Google Drive synchronization features. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, how it is protected, how long it is retained, and how you can delete it.

We do not sell, rent, or use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated analytics.

1. Data We Collect or Access

1.1 Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not operate a backend server for this Extension.
• We do not collect usage analytics, behavioral tracking data, crash reports, or advertising identifiers.
• We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or Google user data.

1.2 Data Stored Locally in Your Browser

The Extension may store the following data in Chrome extension storage on your device:

• Preferences: language settings, widget visibility, widget position, reminder settings, and similar Extension settings.
• Personal events or notes: event title, description, date, calendar type, repeat settings, category, and timestamps that you create inside the Extension.
• Google event reference: when you choose to sync an Extension event to Google Calendar, the Extension may store the related Google Calendar event ID so it can update or remove that synced event later.

1.3 Google User Data Accessed With Your Consent

If you choose to connect your Google Account, the Extension may access Google user data only for the features you enable:

• Google Calendar event data: event IDs, titles, descriptions, dates, times, and recurrence information needed to display, create, update, or delete calendar events at your request.
• Google Drive App Data: a private backup file used only by this Extension to sync your Extension-created personal events and notes across your devices.

2. How We Use Google User Data

The Extension uses Google user data only to provide user-facing calendar and sync features:

• Display Google Calendar events in the calendar view.
• Create a Google Calendar event when you explicitly enable Google sync for an Extension event.
• Update or delete a synced Google Calendar event when you edit, disable sync for, or delete the related Extension event.
• Save and restore Extension-created personal events and notes using the Google Drive App Data Folder.

The Extension's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure

We do not share, transfer, sell, rent, or disclose Google user data to third parties for advertising, analytics, marketing, or any unrelated purpose.

Google user data is transferred only between your browser and Google APIs as necessary to provide the features you request. For example, when you enable Google Calendar sync, event data is sent to Google Calendar to create or update the event in your own Google Account. When you enable cloud sync, Extension-created personal events and notes are saved to your own Google Drive App Data Folder.

We may disclose information only if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request. Because the Extension does not operate a backend server, we generally do not possess your Google user data outside your browser or your own Google Account.

5. Data Protection Mechanisms

• No developer backend storage: the Extension does not send your Google user data to servers controlled by the developer.
• Chrome Identity: OAuth tokens are handled through Chrome's identity system and are not stored on a developer server.
• HTTPS: communication with Google APIs is performed over HTTPS.
• Local browser storage: preferences and Extension-created personal events are stored in Chrome extension storage on your device.
• Google Drive App Data Folder: cloud sync data is stored in a private app-specific area of your Google Drive that is accessible only to this Extension and your Google Account.
• Access limitation: the Extension requests only the Google OAuth scopes needed for its calendar event sync and app data backup features.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Data is retained only as long as needed to provide the Extension features or until you delete it.

• Local Extension data: preferences and personal events remain in Chrome extension storage until you delete them in the Extension, clear the Extension's storage, or uninstall the Extension.
• Google Calendar data: calendar events created or updated by the Extension remain in your Google Calendar until you delete them from Google Calendar or delete/disable sync for the related event in the Extension.
• Google Drive App Data: the Extension backup file remains in your Google Drive App Data Folder until you delete Extension data, revoke access, or remove the app's stored data from your Google Account/Drive app data settings.
• OAuth access: you can revoke the Extension's Google access at any time from the Extension options page or from your Google Account permissions page.
